Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe

This Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe features fresh asparagus in a rich, homemade sauce. Makes a luscious lunch for two on a special day or a filling meal any time of the year.

  • 4 oz. fettuccine noodles uncooked
  • 1 Tbsp of butter
  • 1/2 lb. fresh asparagus trimmed and cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup onion chopped
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 2 oz. cream cheese cubed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese shredded
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon peel grated
  • 1/8 tsp pepper


  • Cook noodles as directed on package and drain well.
  • Melt butter over medium heat.
  • Stir in the asparagus, onion and garlic.
  • Cook 5 minutes, stirring often, until the vegetables are tender.
  • Stir in cream cheese and milk. Combine well.
  • Add in the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice and lemon peel.
  • Season with pepper and blend everything well.
  • Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted completely.
  • Pour over noodles and toss to coat.
