Cook noodles as directed on package and drain well.
Melt butter over medium heat.
Stir in the asparagus, onion and garlic.
Cook 5 minutes, stirring often, until the vegetables are tender.
Stir in cream cheese and milk. Combine well.
Add in the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice and lemon peel.
Season with pepper and blend everything well.
Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted completely.
Pour over noodles and toss to coat.
