This easy to prepare crock pot Vegetable Beef Soup Recipe is a hearty classic with a zesty twist: sweet and sour sauce is added to the traditional vegetables and mushrooms for a surprisingly smooth and tangy taste.
1 1/2 lb beef stew meat
1 (16 oz) pkg. frozen stew vegetables
2 (10 3/4 oz) cans beefy mushroom soup
1/2 Cup sweet and sour sauce
1/2 Cup water
Trim meat and cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes.
Put meat and frozen vegetables into the crock pot. Mix together.
Stir in the cans of soup and sweet and sour sauce.
Add the water and stir until ingredients are combined.
Cover and cook 10 hours on low or 5 hours on high.
Beef broth can be used in place of the water, or 1/2 Cup added to the water for a more fluid soup.
