Ingredients
2 Tbsp of olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 lbs. red cabbage, shredded
1/4 tsp ground cloves or ground cinnamon
3 Tbsp of red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp sugar
1/2 cup natural applesauce
Instructions
Heat oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
Add onions and saute for 5 minutes.
Add cabbage and cook for 3 minutes until cabbage wilts.
Blend in cloves or cinnamon, vinegar, and sugar. Continue to stir until the sugar dissolves.
Blend in applesauce and continue to cook for 15 minutes. Stir frequently.
Serves 6.
