A tasty red potatoes recipe using spices soaked into each piece. What a way to perk up your standard meals.
12 small red potatoes
1/4 C olive oil
1/4 C butter, melted
1 t salt
1 t garlic powder
1 t dried basil
1/2 t dried thyme
1/2 t pepper
Pre-heat oven to 350 F.
Set the oven temperature to 350 degrees and let it preheat.
Peel a strip all around the middle of each potato.
Place the potatoes into an ungreased 3 qt. baking dish.
In a small bowl, stir oil and butter to slightly blend.
Sprinkle in salt, garlic powder, basil, thyme and pepper. Whisk until blended well.
Pour over the potatoes.
Bake 50 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender. Stir about every 12 minutes.
