Marinated Mushrooms

For a tasty offering at your next party, try this easy to make Marinated Mushrooms Recipe. The homemade marinade of white wine vinegar, thyme and fruit juices gives the mushrooms a bold, zesty kick. Just place in a bowl surrounded by toothpicks for a self-serve appetizer.


3 Tbsp finely minced shallots
juice and zest of 1 large sweet orange
juice and zest of 1 lime
2 tsp minced fresh thyme
3 Tbsp white wine vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp light olive oil
1 (8 oz) package small button mushrooms


Whisk together everything but the mushrooms until a frothy marinade forms.

Add the mushrooms and toss to coat with the marinade.

Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours, stirring several times.

Serve at room temperature (no need to place in ice).
