This Ground Turkey Turnover Recipe is quick to prepare. You can use curry, but season any way you’d like. If you need more than three turnovers, just multiply the ingredients by the number of people.
Ingredients
- knob of butter
- 2 oz (60 grams) ground (minced) turkey
- pinch of curry powder
- 3 rounds of puff pastry (I make each round about 4 inch (10 cm) diameter.)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 carrot, peeled and diced
- 1 mushroom, diced
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425F (220C).
Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the turkey with the curry powder for a few minutes to brown.
Spoon the mixture between the rounds of pastry and fold over.
Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and butter in a pan.
Saute the carrot for 6-8 minutes, to soften.
Add the mushroom to the pan and heat for a few minutes more.
Remove the turkey from the oven and serve on a plate.
Spoon the carrot and mushroom mix alongside to serve.
Yield: 3 serving.
