Ground Turkey Turnover

  • knob of butter
  • 2 oz (60 grams) ground (minced) turkey
  • pinch of curry powder
  • 3 rounds of puff pastry (I make each round about 4 inch (10 cm) diameter.)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 carrot, peeled and diced
  • 1 mushroom, diced



Preheat the oven to 425F (220C).

Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the turkey with the curry powder for a few minutes to brown.

Spoon the mixture between the rounds of pastry and fold over.

Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and butter in a pan.

Saute the carrot for 6-8 minutes, to soften.

Add the mushroom to the pan and heat for a few minutes more.

Remove the turkey from the oven and serve on a plate.

Spoon the carrot and mushroom mix alongside to serve.

Yield: 3 serving.
