Make a great finger food for parties as well as a tasty appetizer. Ham, cheese and pineapple combine in this Grilled Mushroom Appetizer recipe for a fun and tasty snack. Any type of meat and cheese work for this recipe.

Ingredients
12 button mushroom caps, 1 1/2 inch in diameter
12 slices of Swiss cheese
12 slices of cooked ham
12 pineapple chunks, fresh or canned
Olive oil
3/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
Prepare the mushrooms by cutting off stems and slicing the tops, leaving a 1/2 inch thick mushroom round.

Lay the mushrooms flat side down.

Fold a slice of cheese to fit onto the mushroom.

Fold a slice of ham and place it on top of the cheese.

Place a pineapple chunk on top of the ham and secure everything with a toothpick, creating a “stacker.”

Repeat until all 12 mushrooms are completed.

Brush the bottom of each mushroom with oil.

Mix chili powder and salt in a bowl. Sprinkle over the stackers.

Place the stackers on the grill with the mushrooms only touching the grate.

Grill 4 minutes over medium heat. The cheese should start to melt and the mushrooms should have a slight charring on the bottom.
