German Oven Pancakes taste different from the usual pan or griddle pancakes. Try this simple recipe when you can’t devote the time to individual pouring, or need to serve everyone at once. This recipe has been amended a few times to make it as close to the authentic as possible.
6 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup all-purpose flour (self-raising flour)
1 cup milk
3 Tbsp butter, melted
1 pinch salt
Fruit mixed with yogurt
Plain sugar and fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
Preheat oven to 450F (225C).
Grease well a 13x9x2 inch (330 x 230 x 50-mm) baking dish.
Combine eggs and flour in bowl. Add milk, butter, and salt; mix well. Pour into prepared dish.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffed.
Cut into serving pieces. Serve with desired toppings.
