This Fruit Compote Recipe is a simple and light dessert for the grill. Warm plums, nectarines and blackberries combine for a sweet treat that’s perfect for backyard barbecues and even camping trips.
- 4 plums, sliced thin
- 2 nectarines, sliced thin
- 1 cup of fresh blackberries
- 1/4 cup of orange juice
- 1 Tbsp of sugar
Lay out two pieces of foil large enough for each to wrap half the fruit.
Equally divide the fruit between the two pieces of foil. Pile in the center.
Drizzle 1/8 cup of orange juice over the fruit.
Seal up the fruit into packets, folding the foil so the juice is locked in.
Grill the packets over low heat for 18 minutes, turning once.
Carefully open the packets over a bowl to catch the juice.
Put grilled fruit into the bowl with the juice and sprinkle with sugar. Stir well.
