  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 to 2 Tbsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups gently crushed corn flakes
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 24 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips


Cream together butter and sugars.

Add and mix vanilla and eggs.

Mix in flour and baking soda.

Mix in corn flakes and oatmeal.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.

Bake 11-13 minutes in pre-heated 350F or 175C oven.

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips


  • Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • Cream Butter and Sugars:
  • In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add Eggs and Vanilla:
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
  • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Fold in Chocolate Chips:
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Scoop and Bake:
  • Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still slightly soft.
  • Cool:
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
